Feel free to ask your host and they’ll curate a culinary journey you won’t forget.
The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room is Veriu’s eclectic and modern interpretation of a classic 1920s Drawing Room. During the roaring 20’s, ‘Wentworth House’ boasted an opulent drawing room as one of its many assets. A traditional drawing room was quite an affair; a room created for entertaining guests with music, intellectual debate, drinking and laughter. Veriu’s, The Drawing Room, is designed to evoke the same feeling of conversation, frivolity and relaxation all with a generous dose of style and decadence.
We may be a little biased- but Nel is one of our Sydney favourites. Dine in their chic bunker-esque space located just beneath the lobby. They know how to keep things interesting. Their eight course menu changes every six weeks to enable Australia’s best seasonal produce to be showcased. You won’t be disappointed.
This welcoming café sits streetside on the ground floor of Wentworth House on the corner of Elizabeth St and Wentworth Ave. Fresh coffee, cold pressed juice and smashed avocado so good you’ll be back time and time again. Friendly staff who treat all our Veriu guests like rock stars.
Harry's Dumpling House
Imagine you’re walking the back alleys of Shanghai and stumble across one of those ‘locals only’ eateries. You walk through the back door and are greeted with all the aromas, noises and character of an authentic Chinese Dumpling House. Well, welcome to Harry’s Dumpling House where it rains succulent, fresh dumplings and quenching Tsing Tao. Walk straight through from the hotel lobby or if you’re returning from a day out, the backdoor is always open. Zhēn bàng!
Harry's Singapore Chilli Crab
What can we say? Harry’s is a Sydney institution It’s been open since the 80s in various locations before settling on Elizabeth Street, right on the doorstep of Veriu Central... Its rustic converted warehouse surroundings and open-air courtyard out back makes Harry’s perfect for a pre or post dinner ‘Singapore Sling’. It’s really very simple; choose your crab, choose your spice level, don your bib and get stuck in.
